canalinea species group

The canalinea species group consists of a total of eleven Neotropical species (Wheeler, 1982, 1986; Baechli, 2005). Both morphology (Throckmorton, 1975) and molecular data (Tatarenkov and Ayala, 2001) place the canalinea group in the derived repleta radiation, along with the repleta, dreyfusi, and mesophragmatica species groups.
